Arrived! 2210 Backhoe

Received yesterday: Woods BH6000 hoe w/12" bucket for my 2210. No time this weekend to assemble and install /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif; that's scheduled to begin next Saturday.

A few observations:
Appears stout for a hoe of this size - The cast swing frame is impressive.
Very good fit and finish - The weld finish and paint quality are excellent.
All install and operating components included - Including the seat (except in my case the seat is missing... dealer is currently working to resolve).
Subframe is substantial - Attaches to the tractor in three places: loader mounts, on top of the rear axle mounts (with a bracket under each axle), and to the sides of the transaxle frame. Also two crossbraces are attached, one at the front of the subframe, one at the rear.
Hydraulic power from tractor - Two lines tap into fittings on top of the rockshaft control valve to power the hoe.

I can't wait to see what it looks like attached to a 2210. The Woods hoe is one impressive looking unit. One thing that I am wondering though is, with a SubCUTs already limited ground clearance, how much lower is the subframe going to make it?

Once the hoe is installed, I'll post some pics trying to show the ground clearance. From the assembly and installation illustrations, it appears the subframe hangs-down about 1~2 inches below the bottom of the transaxle.

My dealer is still in the dark about it! We'll all be interested in seeing it mounted and then some reports about how it works. How much chinyang did it end up setting you back?

I wanna see pics mounted on the tractor to encourage me and a price to discourage me.

Bet it'll fit on a 4010, too. They and the 2210 appear to take the same attachments, on the rear anyway. The 4010 will have 4 to 5" more ground clearance.

Just a tick over 4k which included delivery and tax. I called eight dealers. The prices ranged from mine up to 5300. Per Woods, the unit retails for about 6k with a 12" bucket. My local dealer had the best price; works well from a service standpoint and in supporting the local economy. I plan to begin installing the sub-frame this Saturday. If all goes well the hoe may be attached by Saturday evening /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif. Once attached I'll post some photos.

I asked a salesman at James River Equipment today about the Woods BH6000 on the JD2210 and he said it would void the warranty. Has anyone else had similar conversations?

The subframe is now installed /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif. Overall, fairly easy to attach. The assembly manual was clear with good illustrations. All the hardware was sorted and contained in numbered packages which made it easy to know which bolt/washer/nut to use. The directions also included torque specs and exploded views to support the assembly. Everything lined-up and fit very well. The subframe caused no interference with the lift rod to the mmm nor to the lower arms of the 3pt. Ran short of time today so mounting the hoe will have to wait until next weekend (no time tomorrow /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif) Subframe and seat photos follow.
