thanks for the replies and pictures. one web page (Wells Ag Co) was sent. Any others? One is on EBAY $239 includes shipping. Are dealers pricing competative vrs the internet?

I believe I have the canopy your seeing on ebay ... Sunguard or something like that. Very good. NOT flimsey ... trims low hanging limbs just fine. In another thread I mentioned anothet low-cost alternative ... used golf cart canopys. I recently got one (for a golf cart) and it only cost $30 from a Club Car dealer. They are on the flimsey side though.
Cheers!

My canopy is also part of the ROPs. It's 4 point mounted and comes standard on the L48 ,TLB series. This thing is the tree trimmer, rain shield'er, sun-stroker saver, This canopy is solid 1/4 in steel, insulated! you could put a chair on top and sun bath!
My point....Iam very happy i have such a sturdy canopy..lights are mounted on it, could put a rearview mirror, Tool bag hanger, tape measure, magnetic level holder, something to grab onto when getting up(DO Not lift your self onto tractor using steering wheel Very bad for the steering colum/support...Even worse if you do it in your truck....bearings and pins..$600) If this thing rolled I'd be A.OK no death by canopy.

If i were in the market I would buy a heavy duty 4 post steel mount, whatever the cost may be.

On a CUT, canopies are better than cabs since these little machines usually can not spare enough HP to run an effective A/C system. Sure you can go 50+ hp and be OK but that does not make sense with today's fuel costs. With a canopy you have air from all sides and a cover to block the sun so that operation is comfortable even at noon on the fourth of July. It is also nice to be able to quickly remove or fold the canopy to fit into lower clearance doors when required, and most cabs are not compatable with backhoe attachments.

I have a FEMCO canopy on my JD 4200 and I love it. If JD made a cab for the 4200 in 2001 when I bought my rig, I would have spent the extra bucks for a cab as I'm tired of being coated in the talcum powder dust common to my area.

What sold me on the FEMCO design was that with enough ambition and skill, I could make a cab for it.

Anyway, I don't have tree limbs to worry about; but wind is an issue, and the wind wrecked my umbrella sunshade I had before I got the canopy.

It gets to the 90's and low 100's during the height of summer and the canopy makes the difference between using the tractor, or having it sit in the garage.

I think my canopy was a terrific purchase

Hi Casco,

I really like the canopy pictured in your post. The lighting is equally impressive.

Q: What brand is the canopy?
Q: Do you have the website of manufacturer?

The rear light images shows three lights. The middle one appears to be different than the two outside lights.

Q: Is the middle light used for specific reasons?

Many Thanks,
The Gardener

Yes, very helpful. My kubota one was around $300.

Two of my tractors have heavy fabricated tops made of 2" square tubing welded to the roll bar. The cover is a sheet of 3/4" treated plywood. Makes a real strong protective cover. Good shade and rain protection too, and good work platforms at times. My other tractors have tops too. Tops are a must.

A canopy can help keep off the sun and rain. But they also give you someplace to hang extra lights, Etc.
Just added 2 more lights and AM/FM cassette stereo to my canopy.
Plug in the headphones and listen to the radio vs tractor/mower noise while mowing.
I have 2 lights facing forward, 2 lights aiming out the sides (1 on each side) and 2 lights aiming out the back of the tractor
