Apollo 354 Fuel Leak

I've had my Apollo 354 for a few years now. It had only done 120 hours.

It has been a joy to use - lets me do all sorts of good stuff around the property.

Unfortunately, it has now sprung a leak. No obvious damage to the fuel tank visible, but when parked in the shed overnight there is a tell-tale puddle under the tractor - of diesel.

I found a loose fuel hose which had a weak circlip on the attachment to the fuel tank fuel outlet and this reduced the leakage rate - but didn't stop it.

I've looked for an overflow hose - just in case I'd over-filled the tank but I couldn't find one, so it looks like I'm not guilty.

The fuel pump and injector pipework is lovely and clean so no problems there - but the leak continues.

The tank is located at the rear of the engine, sandwiched against the instrument console. It'll be a bugger to take out and replace / repair but it looks like I'll have little choice but to do so.

I reckon I should change the flexible fuel pipe (the one with the new clip on it) in case it has gone porous.....? The pipe looks dry however.

Any thoughts?

Try to clean all exposed parts until they're bare and perfectly dry. Tighten any fittings. Blow talcum powder or similar fine dust along these exposed locations. It will tell you if there are any seeps. Auto parts stores now have plastic flex hose rated for fuel you could use to replace your flexible fuel pipe should it be necessary.
