Anyone in the Gun Sights of the big Storm?

When I came in I used the line from Jaws on my wife: "We're going to need a bigger kuboata!"

Yeah...I'm happy with my 790, but this is one of those days where a bigger tractor with a cab would be nice.
But you do need a bigger tractor then that little 6100.

when I drove up the drive with the L3130, I was pushing snow with the front of the tractor with the bucket in the air. I was having a hard time without chains.

Yeah, me too (to both pushing the snow and having a difficult time without chains).

Wow, this is my 4,500th post...think I'll bake a cake!

There is no sense in getting the tractors out until it stops. I cannot even keep my sidewalk clear to the barn. By the time I get to the barn, I have to shovel back to the house.

It's got to be over 30 inches by now.

It finally stopped.

I'll break out the tractors in the AM.

The news reports are sad, multiple roof collapses, 200k+ without power, impassable roads.

Another storm is forming down south, reports for Tuesday are saying expect another 3-9 inches.

It finally stopped.

Guess I'll be up on my roof tomorrow. Good news is, if I fall off, I'll have a soft landing. When I measured the snow at 1:30 it was at 31". I bet there's about 36 or so in the middle of the road here. I haven't heard a plow truck yet, and don't expect one 'till the end of the week. The wife and I will be out tomorrow shoveling the driveway so we can do it all again Wednesday after the Tuesdays snow . Only 250' long.. shouldn't take too long. It's all down hill.

All I can say is that this was DEFINITELY the year to have bought chains. I lost one in a snow bank today, but a combo of my dad and St. Anthony (patron saint of lost things) found it. Thought I'd have to wait for spring.
