Anyone have any thoughts on attending a High School reunion

Went to my 45th with my wife of 45 years (at the time). I have to say, my wife was the most beautiful woman there. All the other girls that were beautiful in the 1965 class did not age as well as mine. I am blessed in so many ways! Ken Sweet

I went to my 15 year class reunion, and I believe the other one was the 25 year reunion, but I haven't gone to any of the others, including the 50 year reunion 5 years ago.:laughing: I see, in this thread, some graduated in very large classes, as did my two daughters, while other graduated in even smaller classes than mine. And I'm sure the only reason I can remember how many of us there were is because 58 of us graduated in 1958.

I went to my 5, 10 and 20 year reunions. The 5 year was a waste of time (Nothing had happened), the 10 year was a waste of money (our reunion fund had been embezzled!) but people had obviously matured from high school and the 20 year was actually pretty fun, people had really matured and were just looking for a good party. All the mention of cliques etc.. makes me think some people are holding onto grudges long past their prime.

I was thinking of going to my 10 yr. talked to a girl that lives near me ( we both live in the same area now even though its 3 hours from our HS), and she said it was like 20-30 folks out of 200ish that we went to school with. said it was ok, didn't feel like I missed anything.

Went to my 5 year (at a bar, I rarely drink much at all), but it was just a drunk-fest with folks puking in the seats. It was obvious they still hadn't grown up.

I'm not sure if there has been one since, but next year will be my 20th. May go, maybe not. Would be interesting to see if any of the classmates have grown up yet. I live in the same town that I went to school in, and I see some of my class mates regularly. One of them runs the daycare my daughter goes to. But, the closest classmate from high school sleeps in the same bed I do every night, so if I don't go, no biggie!

hope shes not one of the ones that was pukeing in the chairs!!

Haven't been to one yet, and the 30th is this year. I didn't particularly like high school except for sports. I was an all-state pitcher in 1983!

The long time friends I have now are not people I went to school with.

Don't really have any desire to go see people I haven't seen in 30 years.

I went to my ten year reunion a few years back and really had fun. It was nothing negative, as far as I could see. I was honestly surprised by how easy it was for all of us to get along and have fun. Kid that bullied me in school was there, we had a few drinks together. My wife was hotter than his, so all was forgiven.

Luck would have it, even over great distances and time, I have maintained good relationships.
