I have done just a little bit of research on alternative backhoes. We have sold several of the Chinese LW series backhoes, currently getting Liberty brand LW 6 and 7s and these are the nicest we have gotten out of China. Still have somewhat touchy controls (they seem better than the Guilin built units but could be we are just getting use to them). For occasional use by property owner, the overall value of the LW series from China is hard to beat and enables some people to get a "TLB" package that might not otherwise be able to justify the cost.
Considering an upgrade I have made a very quick comparison between the NARDI and KOYKER/KELLY and didn't see as much price difference as I had hoped. Koyker has an excellent 3 point mounting system with a well thought out locking bar and draw bar brackets. they also offer a strong, capable hoe without the excess weight. (the LWs are Heavy).
I did notice the NARDI is not quite a 6' hoe. If depth is important, the TS354C would have no prolbem handling and using a Koyker KB75.
Gets a little overwhelming sometimes, first you choose a tractor then all the extra decisions!
There is a korean built hoe on the market, but i have not seen any pricing to see how it compares to the LW series and/or Koyker, Nardi, etc.
