Anyone Fly RC Airplanes?

I learned to fly on a Sig Kadet Mark 2 with an OS .40 motor in the early 90's. I bought a Sig Piper Cub J-3 but never finished it. Electrics are fun, I had a Zagi for awhile. It was a neat lil flying wing that you could fly almost any where.

The America's Cup catamarans used a carboin fiber "sail" instead of fabric; it was very much a wing. Although the boats I sail(mostly Cal-30's and my RC boats have fabric sailes, they do work on the same principle as a wing. High pressure on one side, low on the other. Well, at least on a reach. On a run the wind is behind and pushing.

Not really a "rag boat" guy myself...but I would think a main sail would have more use/names etc... than just as a "wing" i.e., air pressure differences over surfaces etc...?

True about the sails . I spent many happy years workin ' crew racin ' on a Wavelength 24 . A fast light boat especially on a spinnaker leg . Another thing we had to considered about our opponents was their waterline length . I can 't count the times we had to say we got waterlined by the longer boat .
