Anyone ever drove over plywood on soft grass or mud w their tractor?

I’m doing a job, in a field where some areas can get soupy. After tons of research plywood seems like it might be the best route for me at this time.

I just wanted to see if anyone had done this before?

I've used aircraft landing mat very successfully. I think the pieces were 16"x96". It supported my compact tractor very well.

Probably cheaper to hire a crane to move his tractor to each side of field.

You can get matts made for the purpose, some times even rentals.
They work much better.
Search for ground mats for equipment.

I remember when a search engine was useful.

Three sheets work well for an excavator to leapfrog around on. Not sure how the smaller contact points of tractor tires would do and you would need enough to make a path. They can get stuck/suctioned down pretty tight after tracking over/working on them. Not sure you could pick them up and move them by hand without alot of effort.

My plan right now is to get 4 .. 4x8s. I would put them horizontal to the tractor. So i would stack four in front of me like an 8ft wide road. I reckon my tractor will fit on 3 then i would leap frog the free one.

Good point about them getting suctioned, i have a backhoe so i figure if I’m going forward i will get it loose with the backhoe. If I’m going backwards, get it with the bucket.

I imagine they weight a bit too and might weight even more if they get wet muddy. I may use my quad to help.

This is just how I’m figuring this all right now.
