I'm looking to get into the latest round of gun-buying hysteria - sort of. I was thumbing through the Shotgun News the other day and saw an ad for JG Sales that had these Steyr Mannlicher carbines for $100. I've read a little about them and they seem like pretty neat old rifles, clips and ammo (though about $1 a shot) are both available. My local dealer does transfers for $10, so when combined with shipping, it looks like I could pick up one of these for about $130.
Anybody have any experience with these? The reviews from the JG Sales site give them good marks. I have not intentions of doing anything with it other than shooting it a few times at targets. I just thought I would ask here and see if anybody had any experience with them.
