I did some digging with it today, a friend has a well line crack I was trying to find, this little dozer can dig like I never thought it could.

Could the 5000’s drive unit be upgraded with a tan dome piston pump for more speed?

Yes I have an RS-1000 with hydraulics. Used it to excavate a building pad. I live in Colorado on a slope. Great tractor for climbing and retrieving downed tress and fire wood .
I'm finished with and ready to sell. anyone interested?
