Anybody From Buffalo?

Some people have all the luck! Man, would I have fun with the 3 Pt blower and FEL. So what's it like getting 6 ft of snow in less than a week?

just loads of fun/w3tcompact/icons/smile.gif have hardly been off my tractor in last 2 days, and i live 20 mi south of buffalo, we are normally considered the snow belt ,but for some reason the winds i guess gave the city a hard smack, we only got about 3 or 4 ft here. have to make a trip for more diesel tomorrow./w3tcompact/icons/wink.gif

ROHN: nope took my old chevy, did not want to take a chance on someone hitting my baby/w3tcompact/icons/eyes.gif has not snowed all day really cleaned up the drive and down to the corner to clean area by mailbox. am still amazed what that 2400 can do. went places and did things with it that my old ford 2n would not have done(with chains)/w3tcompact/icons/grin.gif love my kubota/w3tcompact/icons/love.gif. and yep these new faces are nice.

Well, yeah, but there are plenty of us from the region (Western NY?) It's funny; I'm just about an hour east of Buffalo and got maybe 2 inches all week. Part of me really wants to get out with the snowblower, but the more realistic part of me realizes >4' of now can really wreck havoc

planger: thought i would post another pic. of the city of buffalo. taken sun. morn. by my friend who works with me and lives close to our place of work. i on the other hand live in the country and only have about 1/2 the snow they do. sorry but rather a large file. but all u snowless tractor owners . count your blessings./w3tcompact/icons/wink.gif

I was watching (CNBC) Saturday evening and they were showing the snow blowers and big CAT equipment moving the snow.
Then the showed about 3secs of a Ford/NH blue tractor/loader, not a Boomer, but something a little older.

Reminds me of the blizzard of '93 we got here in central NY ... the cars were covered by drifts and I think we had about 40" of snow fall in about 36 hours. About the only equipment working those few cleanup days were full size TLBs, wheel loaders, and big ag tractors with loaders.

I believe it was in the top ten of the storms of the century,for I remember seeing it on TLC Channel in Nov.

Just hope the folk around the lake area won't get the high winds..yikes.

THOMAS: good call on the winds. we just have moderate wind and it is causing drifting. the city has been snow free for 2 days, but we, south of the city have been getting steady snow, got another 8" today. sunday my engine had a chance to cool down, but had to plow this morning and will plow again in the morning/w3tcompact/icons/tongue.gif
