There are a LOT of good links being posted to news articles but they are from a wide variety of news sources. But many of them pop up blocking ads asking me to subscribe. Since I'm usually only interested in a few articles (at most) I don't want to subscribe to every dad-blamed source.
Is there ONE site with a pay plan that I can subscribe to (for a small fee) that will cover all or most of these news sources?
Like a $10 library card.

Don't know what websites your visiting, but you should try the Brave browser. It block popups and ads.

It may not be the perfect solution to your query but are you familiar with RSS news feeds ?

There are many sources and clients...It is a good way to browse headlines from single or multiple news sources generalized by topic or region etc...

One overview of many

What Is an RSS Feed? (And Where to Get It)

Many of those can be dismissed by clicking a "close box" ... sometimes takes a little work to find the close box though, as they can try and hide it in some instances.

Many newspapers have cookies that allow a few visits. Deleting the cookies resets. A few (ex. NYTimes) have moved to you must register an email address to see articles free, regardless during the Pandemic.

A little more on RSS feeds...

Once a reader (free software for any platform) is loaded...visit any news site etc. and look at the bottom of the page for a small orange cube icon with a dot and two arcs...clicking the icon will magnet the sites XML file directly to your reader...

The icon can be seen on TBN in the lower right corner of a page to the right of the social media site icons...

In all fairness I would LIKE to be able to pay a fee and reward the news source, especially if it was ad free. Something on the order of a nickel or dime. I can afford a dollar or so a day.
For a while the Opera browser seemed to be blocking the pop ups and I could cut and paste an address from my Chrome to Opera.
I'll probably just set up another junk email address and only use it for the expected spam.

Oh, and I've been using RSS feeds for decades, but they take up screen real estate.

Speaking of pop-ups, is anyone else getting them here on TBN? They seem to duplicate an ad/image at the bottom of the page (today it's empty, past couple days it was a grayed-out image of a vintage JD tractor). You can X out of it, but next page you open it's back. It only started doing this a few days ago, and only with Chrome (which is my preferred browser). Doesn't do it with Firefox, haven't tried IE.
Tried a couple different adblockers, didn't help. Pop-up blocking is enabled, but that only seems to work for third party popups, not ones that originate at the site you're on.

I am on Chrome. The pop-up goes away when I sign in.
