You may like the Epoch Times if you want to get an alternate to the mainline liberal media. They have a daily on line and weekly paper issue by mail. Not very expensive and very little advertising.

Firefox with UBlock Origin provides a clean view of most everything I read.

I also added DuckDuckGo a while back because that is claimed to reduce tracking and targeted ads but since I see almost none I don't know how significant it is.
Here's its present report:
Trackers were found on 73% of web sites you've visited since Feb 05 2020.
Google
70%
Sovrn Holdings (Twitter)
52%
Facebook
51%

I've read a few Twitter threads linked from Coronavirus discussions. I've never had a Facebook account.

I read somewhere if their icons are on a page you are reading, then they are adding your reading history into their databases. (To sell to advertisers).

Also I've read if you leave your Gmail account open while reading other sites then you are wide open to be identified - in considerable detail - anywhere you go.

I had avoided a Google Docs etc account, until recently I had to participate in some planning hosted there. Next thing I saw was Google offered my phone (not my pc) a nice sample photo album to purchase, printed and bound, an album that Google Photos had already composed with pictures from my wife's phone. (How???) 'Best Picks of 2019' 'Vacation Pics' etc. And good cameo photos of each of us suitable for an avatar. I'm certain we have never put up cameos like that anywhere. Nor authorized Google to suck photos out of her phone. Replacing her phone recently, likely had something to do with it.

Google knows all. 'We have a new motto now'.

Useful page where Wikipedia ranks news sources for accuracy and reliability.

The Epoch Times was deprecated in the 2019 RfC. Most editors classify The Epoch Times as an advocacy group for the Falun Gong, and consider the publication a biased or opinionated source that frequently publishes conspiracy theories. As is the case with Breitbart News and Occupy Democrats, this does not mean that The Epoch Times can no longer be used, just that it can never again be used as a reference for facts

IF you read my original post it's not about "liberal" or conservative media - it's about pop-up blocking ads. Your agenda is not needed here.

There are a LOT of good links being posted to news articles but they are from a wide variety of news sources. But many of them pop up blocking ads asking me to subscribe. Since I'm usually only interested in a few articles (at most) I don't want to subscribe to every dad-blamed source.
Is there ONE site with a pay plan that I can subscribe to (for a small fee) that will cover all or most of these news sources?
Like a $10 library card.
