2” minus is the best of the best, it is super heavy and compact super good therefore super expensive. It is use as a base like it said and since the biggest pebble are two inch it’s hard on tires so it’s best to cover it with 3/4 inch minus.

There obviously is none.

Us Missourians are pretty simple. We'll just name our gravel based on rock size in inches thank you. :)

Illinois is worse, going by the DOT numbers. Gravel with fines is CA6, CA7 is gravel with no fines. CA standing for coarse aggregate, FA being fine aggregate, more like sand.

304 is odot specification number since op is in Ohio. It is one inch minus.
57 are stone sized between the 5 and 7 standard sized sieves

I don’t know why people want to feel special and describe gravel in mostly regional terms. Everyone knows what a washed 3/4 stone is or what 1-3” looks like.
