Can I use the same coolant in my L3400 that I use in the cars or does the diesel engine require a special mix? If so is it available widely or only through the tractor dealers? Thanks

Normally ethyline glycol (the green stuff) is used in both applications. Recently, a different type (orange stuff) is used in GM and Ford vehicles. It's not the same stuff; the two types cannot be combined; the orange stuff will oxidize easily (and turns into goo) if the radiator cap leaks air into the system upon cooling.

Your manual most likely says to use the green stuff (ethyline glycol). My B2400 manual states that; that's what I use; mixed per the manual in a half-n-half mixture with distilled water (or filtered well water).
