Another use for a snow blower

Here's a strange question ... anyone ever used a front mount snowblower on leaves? Seems like it might not be a bad way to move a big pile of them and reduce them some at the same time.

Believe me it quicker to rake/blower the leaves than snow blower...what pita mess to clean up.

An older friend of mine lived down in the flood plain of the Yellow River SW of here about 20 miles. He told me after large floods the silt would pile up on his farm lanes and places he didn't want it, and it would trap water on his fields. He'd take a large 3pt snow blower on and old large Oliver tractor and blow the mud off the lanes and make channels for the water to escape.

Bet the engine was remove..that's one of those hold my beer while I do some chewing and spitting.

That would be an even harder conversation to have with the better half than, I scratched your car...

I use my 3 point hitch snowblower to move a lot of gravel...

Of course I use it as a counterweight so when I shovel into the bank with my front end loader, it is easier to fill the bucket!
