Locks your valve out. Push it down, then try to move the lever, you'll see what I mean.

On cable operated loader valves, beside being a lock, it also holds the lever in the neutral position so you can install/adjust the cables going to the valve.

Also for tractor transport. According to the manual anyway. Don't know how it would really do anything without the machine running but that's what they say.
