Kioti CK30
Today I removed the access plate on the loader cross tube to find that, like so many others, all four corners had 1" cracks. I took a few photos and called my dealer, Rick Wallace. Rick suggested that I send a letter to Kioti and start the ball rolling. I emailed them this evening and am hoping to hear from them soon.
I have not had any other issues with my CK30 TLB since the day I bought it 3 years ago. Rick has been great to work with; I hope that Kioti responds as well as he always has.

Good luck, Shawn. Rick will do all that he can. But, be persistent.

I thought Kioti was supposed to notify us and send kits to dealers to cover this.

They sent me a letter in the mail and my dealer came and installed the brace within a few weeks.

I wrote them a paper letter and sent them several emails. They have never contacted me. If it wasn't for Rick Wallace, I'd probably still have a bad loader and nary a word from Kioti. It's obvious they are hoping people will just accept it. But, if you make enough noise, you might get help.

Me, I wouldn't touch a used tractor with that old style loader unless it was discounted enough to cover replacing it. It just isn't strong enough for the tractor it's on.

That would be for the CK20's. The CK30's have turned out to be entirely different animals, so to speak.

I am kind of new to the forum but since following I keep reading comments about these "loader cracks." I recently purchased a new 2008 CK30 with the HST and the FEL. Not sure which loader, but I think its the KL130 also. Just out of curiosity, what loaders are affected by the "cracks?" and should I be concerned about mine? and where exactly are these cracks occurring?
Thanks
Josh

Loader model KL130B, B being the difference, is the new style. It has a round cross tube that extends all the way through the loader arms. This is the good loader.

Do a search in the Kioti forums. You'll find all you want to read about the loader cracks.

A new tractor in no way guarantees that you'll get the new style loader. I would expect that a few dealers will be trying to pass the old ones off for quite some time.

So if purchasing new should we stay away from the KL130 and only take the KL130B?

Or is the KL130 with the reinforcement just as good as the KL130B?

Also, does the KL130B have the 'B' on the sticker on the loader and if not is there a way to tell which one is which?

If you don't want to post, please PM me... Thanks.

If your purchase new, get the K130B. There's no reason to pay street price or a bad design with a reinforcement bracket.

As for the B. It's NOT on the sticker on the side of the loader. Look at the plate. But it's easy to tell if you have a B because the torque tube goes though the loader arms. Look for the circle on the loader arms. If it's there the tube some threw it and it's a B.

Stay far away from the older style. Even if it never cracks (but I'd bet that it will), it will affect resale value.

What the heck, i am gonna take a wack at the hornets nest with a short stick. Was in the dealer yesterday & the counter girl(who does more work there than most) said that she just got a notice from Kioti stating that the mod plate kit for the CK30/KL130 loader is ready. They expect to ship sometime "soon".

ok running away now...........................:D

Good deal, from what I saw my dealer had none of the older style FELs, the one I am getting with my New Tractor is a KL130P (yes P), oh and the plate on most I have seen still show KL130 on the hard plate, but will have a smaller white sticker on the left (from seat) loader arm showing the exact model, all that I saw were like this with the newer style and 'torq tube' going though the arms.

Not sure if this helps. :D

Motorseven is correct.
The official word from Kioti was that the repair kits will be ready and dealers were sent instructions on how to handle claims. I'd imagine (and hope) that they would start with the loaders that are cracked and eventually retrofit all of the affected loaders. I guess my timing in this has been much better than most. I'm also really lucky to have Wallace as my dealer, they're the best!

Hmm... I wonder how/if this kit is different from the one my dealer put on mine over 6 months ago??

Wow! And only 29 months after Highbeam first reported the problem. That must be some sort of corporate record for efficiency.

I hope Kioti revisits their policy requiring that all these repair kits be installed by dealers. They really should allow some sort of waiver form signature to permit a customer to screw on their own bolts and avoid the hassle and expense of transporting the tractor to the dealership.

Yes. Stay away from the old style KL130. I would venture to say that only the uninformed would buy this lemon of a loader. Further, I would say that only a dealer who chooses to steal candy from a baby would sell this loader. Repair kit or not.

The unfortunate part is that someone will take it in the pocketbook for this fiasco whether it is the customer who buys the lemon, the dealer who bought it and can't sell it, or Kioti who properly offers to replace the defective loader with the newer model.

I feel bad for the dealer with a lot full of old style KL130s.

Wow, 29 months has passed. Seems like just yesterday we were all popping the covers off to assess.

Has it ever been proven that the loaders that cracked were not from a specific "run date"?
I know of at least one dealer, who no longer participates here, who tried to get some serial #'s to evaluate this secenario, but was chastised for her effort.
I ask because it seems strange that I, along with others on this board, have not encountered the "cracking" issue.
I've got almost 300 "hard" hours on the unit, and as of today, no cracks.
Listening to some folks on here though, it's inevitable that they will come.
I guess when "it" happens, I will call Rick and we'll work through it.
BTW, the only reason I post to this topic is to let anyone interested in a Kioti w/ a KL130 loader know that I (Opinion here) believe that most of the loaders out there do not have cracks.
