I have been looking at flow divider control valves, i.e. 8 gpm , valve divides flow in 1/2 for motor or cylinder so they both move the same, Regardless of load.
Or some variation of that. My question is why is a valve like that not used on a FEL frame for lift. My thought is that the frame is stiff or strong enough so the hydraulic pressure imbalance is distributed by the frame,
If that is true then any frame supported device with two cylinders would not need a control valve like that.
When would you use a valve like that , for cylinders? Motors I can get.

Not needed, as pressure is equal, I would think.

Flow dividers work good for lifting loads with uneven pressures where synchronization is necessary (like lifting buildings or machinery with separate cyls), or tuning hyd motor speeds.....or splitting circuits for separate needs (power steering vs FEL controls).....

I worked on a machine that had eight legs all with separate cyls......they used 7 flow dividers that split flows 50/50 equally......

One hydraulic pump into one flow divider......then to two more on the next branches........then 4 more on the next banches to make 8 outlets going to 8 single acting lift cyls......all to make it lift perfectly straight up level.....
