Another converted plow project

Before starting mine I read through several similar threads here and on other forums. This was about as easy as creating your own implement gets. I had on hand the old Meyer ST 7.5 plow and frame from my old (being retired) 12v Dodge. I bought a 3/8 SSQA plate from Titan and a crossover valve from BoltOnHooks. The hoses I had made locally at a hydraulic shop. All in this project cost $380 including paint and the 6011 rods used to attach the modified truck mount to the SSQA plate.

The moldboard has seen better days, but has a season or two left in it. I will probably replace that next year unless I find another Meyer 7.5 in better shape for the right price. I could have cut down the truck frame more and eliminated the tube sections or managed the plow mount another way, but this was easiest by far and is plenty strong.

That will work for sure but why not just weld ears to the plate;skip the plow frame all together.
I have a similar set-up I built ten years ago;works very well.Most forget about a cross-over relief;mistake for sure.

Well, I had the plow frame already and it was either going to scrap, or would get sold attached to the Dodge when it goes. Making ears would have been more work and I'm plenty lazy

Since Meyers have that neat little pin set up for the angle and I don't have aux hydraulics, I did nearly the same thing, but cut about 8 inches out of the A in the A frame. It gets the plow tighter to the tractor. Nice work. A little welding, paint and new cutting edge keeps these simple plows moving snow.
