Hello,

I got a price for a 7610 with a LA272FL-1 the other day from a local dealer but I'm finding that most dealers are putting the LA352FL-1 on them. Can anyone tell me the difference between the two loaders?

Thanks,
Bob

Tim,

Thanks so much. In looking at the compatability I think the dealer must have made a mistake on the quote.

Thanks,
Bob

I noticed that they had a B7610 set up with a 272FEL the last time I went to my dealer for a filter. I am not sure why they did this, maybe they had extras who knows.

I think Skid might be onto the reason. My guess is there are extra 272 loaders around and either some dealers are overstocked or Kubota might be. I can see no reason a 272 wouldn't fit on a 7610, but I can't think of a good reason to have it over the 352 loader. In my opinion, unless you have a need for the additional PTO horsepower (like for a larger mover or brushog), you might as well buy a B7510 or even a 7400 if you're going to purchase the 272 loader. It would have to be a LOT cheaper than the 352, and even then I probably wouldn't do it. But that's just me.

Go for the 352. I agree with 8561- there is no reason not to.

Bob, be very careful when looking at lift capacity. Kubota is one of the very few companies that provides "honest" capacity numbers, the problem with providing honest numbers is that they make the capacity look weak compared to brands that give Pivot Point capacities. In fact the difference is dramatic, typically an honest capacity measurement is taken at the center of the bucket, it is usually 30% to 40% lower than the cpacity as measured at the pivot point, which is actually behind the bucket.

You may want to review this thread, it is a bit convoluted, but gives good explinations of some of the potentially misleading data provided by some manufacturers. Bucket size vs Bucket Capacity
