Well, here it is. The Short. The Stud post on the distributor had a small crack on the inside bottom.. I more than likely did this during reassembly after painting. That little crack sure caused me some grief. Another lesson learned. Thanks for all the responses. Soundguy, it was your test with the ignition off that led me to the stud. Thanks to all.
