A few years ago, I had some powder stuff that you mixed with water that anchored bolts in concrete floors. Forgot the name of it, but it wasn't hydraulic cement, I know that.

You drill a hole in the concrete then put the bolt head in to the base of the hole and pour this mixture in. It gets real hard in 24 hours. The alternative is lead and I don't want to get into that.

Any ideas what this machine mount stuff is?

Hi Dan,

I have a can of the stuff down at my shop... it sure made a believer out of me... stronger than the concrete curb I drilled in...

Tomorrow, I'll post the name of it...

You can also buy expanding anchor bolts. Drill the correct sized hold, tap the bolt into place, and it locks to the hole as you tighten it up.

FWIW,

Thanks John,

Yes I know. That stuff is incredible! Lead anchors will vibrate out in time - not that "stuff"!

i have used rocktite and have used some steel reinforced epoxy (the grey looking stuff that comes in two film canisters) for smaller jobs. both worked well, and hardened overnight .

Hi Dan,

It's UGL Drylok cement that sets hard in "15 minutes" and useable in 2 hours... (either got it from True Value HW or WalMart... about 10 years ago)
