FWIW: I bought oil infused bashing from McMaster-Carr. I'm still on my first couple out of a batch of ten or so, but I only mow as an invasive weed or pasture improvement project, so way less than some folks.
Like @MossRoad, I loosen the bolts, grease, and reassemble before each use and every four hours or so during. I have a couple of heavy duty steel saw horses that make it safe to rest the mower on top of, and the blades easy to access. I sharpen and rebalance the blades whenever they aren't sharp. I have found that sharper blades do a much better job of mulching the woody brush, at least the kinds we have around here. I use a hanging scale to get the weights within a few grams, and the balance point in the same place +/- along the blade.
All the best,
Peter
