Years ago I had a 45 acp 1911 I never used a tool to strip it down to clean it just push a button and the slide came out and the mag.

that's not what we are talking about.. the bullet button is specifically so you can get the 'fixed' mag out.

essentially they dinked with the ar mag release so it isn't an easy out and change affair. that or flipping the upper open.. etc..

You forgot something- it's the "Granola State", so there are not only fruits and nuts, there are also plenty of flakes.

Apparently no one did as I did and searched "bullet button" [or read the Wiki page that was included earlier by James in his post 952.]

Another ludicrous idea from Cali, which BTW was already circumvented in the mass shooting by the San Bernadino shooters.
