If President Trump made good Supreme Court picks, protects the Second Amendment, strengthened private property rights and created an opt out of the Affordable Healthcare Act it would confirm to many of his supporters he did right by them.

I'm also hoping he stop's letting more companies like Ford move out of country, we'll see....

Finally found some .410 slugs at Academy. Bought a single box of 5 rounds for $4.99, for my 10 year old son. I'm thinking .410 slug should be fine for bow range white tail (30 yards or so).

Been gone from the forum for quite a while, but got a question. I know you can make .410 brass from either .303 British or .444 Marlin, and according to my math, you should be able to make a fairly light, but workable round using .44 mag brass.

So, the question is, I just ordered 15 rounds of .303 blanks from Sportsman's Guide. I know blanks have a certain amount of pressure, so they can work the action of semi autos, but is it close to, or significantly less than a normal rifle round. basically, my concern is can I fire form the brass in the .410, or should I break the round down first, and Then make a light .410 loads, and us3 grits as my shot for first fire form?

hmm...

If it was me.. i'd break them down.

I've fireformed brass like that using a fast powder, ( shot powder even ), wad, and a filler and a wax plug.

But I've been reloading a while. If you havn't, I'd definately recommend doing some more research before you decide what you want to do. ;)

So, I cut the front crimped section of of the first of the blanks, emptied the powder, and loaded a 3/4 load of powder, a half a case or so of grits and topped it off with melted crayon wax (purple Crayola to be specific). Went to fire it, sort of nervously, and click, repeat, click, seems the .410 won't pop or even dent the military large rifle primers. Now, I'm considering options, probably push the LRP out with water and a tight fitting dole. I am a bit of a chicken to deprime live primers with my rigged decapping die (stainless steel sign bolt, ground the tip to deprime. uploadfromtaptalk1493251300521.jpg
