To everyone who replied: Thank you for all of your ideas.
We ended up having a couple of new batteries donated, so that once again all of the machines throw. We plan to leave one spare battery on a trickle charger in the control house, allowing us to have a spare ready to go if (when) one of the batteries dies. Hopefully, we will end up running a hard wire to a transformer (and maybe capacitor) at the three closest houses in the future. I will be sure to update if we do. Again, thank you very much for all of the ideas and suggestions.
