I have found led's to be interesting, in a group they have diodes and are polarity sensitive. You can also get single bulbs and I don't think polarity matters. I have used both types and a lot of cheap ones just use 2 black wires, some also use a white stripe on one wire. There is also led's for AC voltage to use around your house. I have run into frustration with their use on occasions.

It is an automotive fuse used in some Japanese and Korean cars. I found it at the local automotive supply. (Partsource). A canadian company.

LEDs ARE diodes! LED stands for Light Emitting DIODE! and YES polarity DOES matter unless there is additional circuitry to allow for AC/ reversing polarity

I have just received (and tested) some 27W LED work lights to replace those on my DK50CAB. Found them on the "big auction" site as item # 130803205699. They arrived in about ONE WEEK from that well known place west of Japan, a set of four for $118.00, shipping included. They put out the light big time, and the black wire is positive. I'll be installing shortly.

I guess the snowbirds use their tractors a lot at night plowing snow. I turned on the lights on my 2010 LS when I got it to see what switch turned on what (now I dont remember what was what) and havent turned them on again. I have had my B26 since last June and turned on the rear work lights once to see how well they lighted up the work area. Also havent turned them on again.
I guess this is due mostly to being retired, I dont have to work in the dark anymore, there is always tomorrow to do what I dont get done today. Most of the time, I dont start outside work till after 9am and quit at 4pm or so so lights arent a big deal for me.
I used the lights on my JD garden tractor once to finish up mowing and my BIL called to see what was happening with mowing in the dark.
