the B and the C, and CA if memory serves has almost exact same type of hyd pump. there should be a knob or two. approx diameter of a cigerette lighter, that plugs into 12v outlet in your car. about an inch tall. ones on the top possibly near were lever connects and the other one on the side. you may also have an adjustment knob on bottom towards the back of the pump.
one of them knobs should release the pressure and let things go down.
i always need to look at manual i have for the ca, to remember which one does what.

your transmission, and hyd pump use the same hyd oil. make sure you keep your levels up. i pulled the CA hyd pump apart, and cleaned up all the internals, there was a lot of "gunk" i order some new seals and put back together, and obtained some new lifting power. 1 seal for pump and transmission, 1 bottom seal, 1 top seal, and possibly 1 rear seal. if memory serves.

double checking, allis chalmers B, c, and CA tractors use single acting hyd cylinders. they have power to extend the piston out of the hyd cylinder, and no power to bring the cylinder back in.
if you are using a third party double acting cylinder, and closed off one of the parts with a cap or like, your hyd cylinder won't be doing anything.
double checking some folks have modified there tractors to use a PTO pump on rear of tractors, some have installed a PTO pump on front of tractor, while still using the hyd pump mounted to transmission.
