control lever for 3 point hitch won`t hold in up position. if I let go of it, it will drop. how do I to tighten the lever so it will stay in position I leave it in.

I don't have your tractor but there is usually a friction washer/nut/locking mechanism combination in the lever assembly itself. If you have a service manual it will specify the procedure
