Still looks and sounds like the old town resivoir to me, and from your description of how far away it is that fits too. Probaly not though!

Th pond i am talking about it just out past the golf course on that highway ...i forget the name of it? On that same side of the road as the golf course.

We have a golf course? Haven't seen that yet, not that I would use it.

Yes it should Kyle. The stuff I managed to get out last year broke down over the winter into a fine dark compost that looked almost like tea leaves. My wife wants me to build some raised beds to grow vegetables next year, so it will be put to good use in them.


I got a surprise in the post. My form to get a "CEFAS" registration has been accepted without any questions and I now have an embossed document containing my very own magic number. This document officially declares the pond to be a "fishery" (even though it has no fish, but please don't tell them that, or I will be going round in circles for months to come). With this magic number, I can now fill in a second lot of forms to be able to finally buy some fish.

Those of you able to go out and just buy a few buckets of fish must think England is a crazy place. Yep.

Mad as Hatters! No, not really, but like Kalifornia, there are an unfortunate number of folks that would like to impose their way of thinking onto the rest of us. They've been pretty good at using scare tactics and the political system to get away with it, too. My biggest fear is that one of them is reading your posts and planning their next move... :laughing:

Maybe TxDon's niece can air ship you a pet alligator in fine nick. I'll bet that would go over well. You could charge people to come see your Texas alligator.

haha, yea, you can see it from the road. Its an 18 hole public course. Not the best but better than many i see. I think they may have put another 9 in years ago? but i havent played it in 12+ years now. Right next to the sewage treatment plant!!! haha. I drove by it this week when i went to the builders supply store there in town. The road is actually called country club drive and it runs right into down town..Gus's is on the corner of the same road where it meets 521.

yea its on country club drive. The road runs into town and crosses 521 right there at Gus's.

The course is right next to the sewer treatment plant. Its a public 18 hole. I think they may have added another 9 years ago? its been 12+ years since i played it. Its not the best but not the worst i have seen

Ok, I ride the motorcycle down country club dr over towards lake wateree on occasion .. I remember the sewage plant, I'll look for the course next time I'm out that way. I'm out the other side of town and south towards Bethune.

That way you ride on that back road is over toward my place. Go out past sewer plant and when at that 4 way you would take a right i am over that way. thats as specific as i will get on here

That makes sense only giving that much info on here. So do you live there, or just have property there?

its where my dads family is from. Still have family on the property and near.

I have the property with dad and i take care of the land and the home. I hunt there as well.

I wish we could. I have met at least one other guy off here when i was in his area. But when i am up there i am running non stop trying to do 2 weeks worth of work in 2 days when i am there.

I use to have way more time than i do now. Since my son was born (2 years ago) i dont get up there as much and when i do its nothing but work it seems like when i am there.

Maybe one day we can meet up somewhere in town.
