I switched all of my fittings to Milton type M last year. I had a mixture of several name brands and they always seems to have slow leaks and difficult to connect. Now I have 2 coffee cans full of used fittings, and nice quiet Milton M connections on all hoses and tools. I got my Milton fittings at Rural King because they were handy but HD would be my mail order choice.

I have a large air system that goes to the house and various buildings. I have a small valve on every port to cut down on leakage. Not nice having to air up the whole (empty) system because you need a bit of air.

Same, only it's a box of old fittings instead of a can & I went with V instead of M. The Milton Vs flow better. Milton's seem to last longer & be better average quality than most. Not to expensive either although the are a fair bit more than Harbor Freight type stuff.

A few tools & hoses havent been converted yet, nor has my new Vair 400 12v compressor. I made some adapters to go from whatever fittings they are to the Vs just so I can stick with 1 standard. Even if I dont need the high flow on those tools or what not.
