Kubota L4310
I am wondering if anyone can answer this for me. I have an L4310. I bought is used, with 138 hours on it. The first time I used it everything was normal. The second time, on start, the air cleaner light came on. I checked the primary and secondary cleaner, the cover and the evacuator valve. Everything's clean as can be and seated properly. I can't get this light out. Any sugestions? Thanks

Dear 3rd,

At a guess, the switch might be stuck. (That is if the air filter is really clean.) The service manual states that the microswitch for the air cleaner is normally open. That means it had to be stuck in the closed state to stay on. Did you try running the tractor (momentarily) without a filter to double check that the filters are really ok?

The only other thought is that a wire could be worn and shorting out.

Hope this helps!

Somebody else posted this same problem a few months back. I did a search but could not find the post. If I remember correctly, he tapped on switch a couple of times and problem went away.

Ah the bang on it till it works technique /w3tcompact/icons/smile.gif This method can be used to help repair many problem...just be sure that you calibrate your tappin/banging to be relative to the parts. This is what seperate the amatuer from the pro. I seem to be somewhere in the middle as I`m still known to break things on occasssion while using this method. Although that maybe more of a temper calibration /w3tcompact/icons/laugh.gif

Thanks for the suggs. I tried everything and it still won't go out. Oh wel, I just took away the lights electrical supply. The filter is clean as can be. Thanks anyway.

I was the guy that had the same problem before. Checked the sensor with an ohm meter and found the switch to be closed. It should be open. Took the sensor off the air cleaner canister and tapped it lightly on the bench. Heard a click and re-checked with the meter and so far so good.
With so few hours on your machine is it a warranty issue?

I have an L3010 only about 37 hrs. I had exact same problem. It was a bad sensor. Dealer Ups'd me one no charge. Problem was solved.
