AI being helpful thread

Scoot - don't want to drift your thread, but I think this is relevant, as it is probably The biggest example of AI in The Wild, @ the moment.

I'm not anti-EV (for those that want them), and I'm not blindly anti-Elon, but I think this a good example of the arrogance of The Valley (even tho Elon has moved-out). Still refusing to use Lidar or Radar..... Better Input = Better Output had me thinking of this example.....

That regulators are Hands-Off on this vehicle example... pause to think.... how well guard-railed will AGI be ?

I use AI regularly for documenting instructions. Working for a Big 10 University, I get questions constantly on how to perform IT related tasks, from using a specific application, to transferring mass files between platforms, or mapping a network printer or share. So now I can just tell AI to craft clear, precise instructions that a basic user will understand. I can even elaborate on what version of OS they are using to better fine tune the instructions. Learning how to write effective prompts has been very useful to get better outputs and to eliminate hallucinations. Definitely a time saver for me.

Writing effective prompts really is the secret to utilizing AI. Best of all, AI can actually teach you how how to do it. Just ask it to teach you how to write better prompts. Such as, how do I write a prompt that will reduce or eliminate hallucinations.

One more thing in Australia that'll try and kill you.

On further watching the video, there was a horror story about a guy driving a Tesla on auto. He dropped his cell phone. While he was looking at it, the car approached a T intersection, blasted right through it, across the lanes, and hit a car broadside that was parked on the other side of signs marking the end of the road/turn arrows. There was a man and woman standing next to the car. The man lived, but badly injured. They didn't know a woman was involved until a female cop noticed female flip-flops on the ground. She was thrown way into the bushes and died. It was about 10 minutes before they found her.

Guy sued Tesla and the car owner. Refused out of court settlement. Jury found both the driver and Tesla guilty. Tragic story.

I got an AI when I tried to call my (Portuguese) bank. It's trying to talk in Portuguese, but it's totally ridiculous! it's using phonetic from English I think.
I don't even speak Portuguese, but I could tell.
The google drive directions are the same.
I told the bank manager I'll come to the branch when I need anything. The phone doesn't work anymore.

Remember, you can explain to AI what you are wanting to do and have it teach you how to write a better prompts to get better results. Just tell it that you are wanting to create various instructions and what would be the best prompting to use.
