On further watching the video, there was a horror story about a guy driving a Tesla on auto. He dropped his cell phone. While he was looking at it, the car approached a T intersection, blasted right through it, across the lanes, and hit a car broadside that was parked on the other side of signs marking the end of the road/turn arrows. There was a man and woman standing next to the car. The man lived, but badly injured. They didn't know a woman was involved until a female cop noticed female flip-flops on the ground. She was thrown way into the bushes and died. It was about 10 minutes before they found her.

Guy sued Tesla and the car owner. Refused out of court settlement. Jury found both the driver and Tesla guilty. Tragic story.

W/O really trying to, over time, I've come across multiple videos that show the folly of Elon's insistence of ONLY using Visual input/processing (other fatalities involved).

That T system, should not be marketed as Autopilot.

I may sound anti-Tech, but I'm not. Similar to the ex fighter-jet pilot/consultant in the vid, I have tremendous concern about the implications of dangerously deficient Tech, esp. in the Wild.

I can't imagine that anyone "accidentally" signs-up to test experimental jets/airframes, but a tiny subset of that experience is in process on our public roads.

Yep. I think camera vision only and asking the system to determine what's there is crazy.

Just had an interesting experience. I called United Health with questions about my Medicare Part D. I got routed around and ended up with a man who had a slight accent I couldn't place. Wasn't quite Latin, wasn't quite Indian. Every time I asked a question, he was very polite and gave me a lot of information but never quite answered the question. After we went around for 10 minutes or so, I got frustrated, thanked him and hung up. After the call I wondered if I was talking to an AI bot or if he was just an idiot.
