YM135
My YM135 came with turf tires. I would like to get some ag tires to put on when I want to plow...etc. Does anyone know a source for used tractor tires?

I'm sorry I missed used, but a lot of tractor dealers post on here, check with Ernie, hes the first one that come to mind that might have used tires. Robert

Thanks guys, Ernie, my tractor has 27-8.50/15 turf tires on it now. I could probably use any 15 or 16 inch tire as long as the diameter doesn't get over about 32 inches. Any larger than that would create fender clearance issues.

Chuck the smallest I have in a farm tire are 18" off a ym 1510.
Oh well ? /forums/images/graemlins/smirk.gif

Ernie,
Could you check the diameter of the tires on the 18" wheels? Looking at pictures the 1510 rear fenders look about the same as mine, but I guess they could be mounted farther from the axle centerline.

I believe the 135 is comparable to my 1110 which has a 14" rim. Hoye sells rice tires for 14" rims and they are not too expensive. I have rice tires on my tractor and really like them. The small front tires on our tractors tend to not roll over things and those paddles really dig in hard. My tires look to be original (nearly 30 years old) and have plenty of bar left. The dry rot will get them first.

Depending on the diameter pattern, condition, and shipping costs I may have an interest in your old turfs.

Cord,
Thanks for the interest in my turfs... but I don't want to get rid of them. I just wanted to get some lug tires for when I need the extra traction. I have found some 15" ag tires for about 65 bucks apiece new, but figured there are probably lots of used tires out there just waiting to be bought. Mounted tires would be okay, but some bare tires for a 14, 15, or 16 inch wheel would be fine. I have lots of wheels.

Try Western Kentucky Tractor Parts - 270-462-2191 and also try Eddie's Tires in WV, 304-258-1368. I've heard that Eddie's beats a lot of prices even with shipping. Or try posting a free wanted ad on www.craigslist.org in the PA cities listed. I can usually find the new tires with the local tire dealers that stock all sorts (truck, tractor/trailer, automotive). Good luck with your search.

Thanks I'll try them out... I just found out that a company close to home here makes the american farmer line of tires. I'm going to stop there some day and see if they will sell to the public.
