I've been in a few situations where the rear of my BX2200 is light when using the rototiller or a harrow on slopes. That rear wheel coming off the ground really got my pucker factor up!

What would I expect to add in weight if I got a set of ags with fluid in them as far as weight?

Is the tread width narrower than the turfs?

Do have have to have ags front and back, or can I continue to run turfs on the front with ags on the back. (I know, I know, the fashion police would be after me if I did that.)

THKS.

You can calculate the weight in the tires from the volume of a toroid, which is:

V= .25 X (pi X pi) X (R + r) X (R - r) X (R - r)

where R is the outer radius of the tire in inches, r is the inner radius, (which is the radius of the skinniest part of the wheel), and pi is 3.14. That gives cubic inches. Divide that by 231 to convert to gallons. Multiply by 8 lbs/gallon to give weight, assuming water.

I would say that filling about 66-75% full is good. An air space leaves the ride less bumpy, and water weight at the top of the tire, above the center of gravity, does not help in reducing the tipping angle.

Plenty of additional discussions on this subject on TBN. Search for "filled tires" or the like.

Hi Ron,
Ihad a JD 318 mower that I put ag's on the rear and the local tire shop used calcium for the rear. I wanted it heavy as they could get it. He could not lift the wheel to put it back on, had to use a jack. I weighed the mower at a lawn mower pull (just for fun) no deck 1000LBS. made a big difference. They can put a heaver mixture in the tires that will make them a lot heavyer than water

To have the miss matched tires would only cost you as you would have driveline wrap from the two different heights of tires nothing to do with the fashion police.
