Has anyone upgraded their seats?
I have a newer Gr2120 and the seat cushioning gives out after ~ 2 hours. I'm averaged sized at 185 lbs so I don't think that's the problem. My previous GR did not seem to have this issue so I'm suspecting theymay have changed the foam ? Hoping for longer term feedback from those that have bought reasonably priced aftermarket seats for any tractor mower etc.
TIA 🍻 🍻

When I replaced mine with aftermarket, after a few years, the foam on the replacement was ok, the suspension on it was ok but the vinyl had disintegrated under the UV.
Sold that one to a woman who didn't care about the vinyl and was just grateful to get a bit of suspension under her nether regions.
Bought a better quality one than the first replacement (see below), this one with a higher back, armrests (and an optional seatbelt which I have never used and is now rusting).
This seat is in the process of being eaten....vinyl down to meaty chunks of foam.....rats, mice, possums, something out there of a night time enjoys the taste.
Bought another one the same as the previous one as it's good quality at a good price and have vowed to keep it tightly covered with a strong efficacious removable cover.....we shall see.
The moral of the story is that with tractor seats as in life and with buses, you fix one problem and along come three more at the same time.

The foam is very resilient and dense (except when being eaten). Comfortable seat and the back height means you have some whiplash protection from being knocked off backwards (as opposed to the minimalist type often converted to bar stools). Reasonably priced for the quality. Optional flip up armrests are good but not essential. Adjustable back and forward and height. Mostly universal fit, base drilled for most brands, just check for Kubota.

Thank you both very much. The GR being more of a mower than a tractor limits the size IE: no suspension, or tall mounts. Had not thought about northern tool, they have quite a few to choose from and the best part is WITH REVIEWS.
I'll have to take some measurements to see what may work.
It irritates me that they (Kubota) 0put a crappy seat on the unit, especially when they suggest a bolt on upgrade from their B series at 4-800.00 depending on where you buy it. I do believe their quality is beginning to follow Detroit in the late 70's based on postings I read on other models.
I might have looked at other brands but it has full time AWD that is almost mandatory on portions of my lawn due to steep hills. also disengages the front wheels when you start to turn which was a big advantage for me. It is fairly light (970 lbs) compared to a small tractor at ~ 1600lbs.
Bigger units I've have are hard on the lawn
Thanks again, and anymore responses are appreciated 👍🍻🍻
