Kubota B3200
I have had my B3200 three years now. When I bought it new I did not think I would have a use for a quick disconnect bucket. Was I ever wrong! Are there any aftermarket kits to do this? If not, is it possible to retrofit a Kubota one? If I do retrofit what will I be throwing away?

Kubota makes a QA for the B series to use kubota implements. ATI also makes one as well as a skid steer style QA.

You can go to Kubota's QA and you won't throw anything away. It pins onto your existing arm/cylinders and then you leave the top pins in your bucket. Works well, not as quick and easy as the SSQA but not too bad.

I added the Kubota QA for my B3200 and have been very pleased with it, took about 15 minutes to install initially. The only problem is that it only works with Kubota attachments. I wanted a skid steer style but the dealer said the additional weight and the added length reduced my lifting capacity. It takes me about 2 minutes to switch from bucket to forks. I don't remember what the cost was but at the time I thought it was a little pricey as were the Kubota forks but after using the QA for 2 years now I am very pleased.

Like frogfish already said, you won't throw anything away (thus no regrets about adding it after the fact). I went that route also. I didn't think I'd need a QA on my 3300 since it has the removable loader frame. Then I decided to build a forklift attachment. I found some forks pretty reasonably priced on ebay and built a carrier for them. I ordered the QA from Kubota. VERY glad I did. The skidsteer system is a little easier to use and I'd assume it a little quicker also but I don't change out the bucket for the forks multiple times a day so it's not a problem. With the skidsteer system, to use your original bucket you'd have to cut the brackets off the bucket and weld the skidsteer brackets on. With the Kubota system this is not necessary, it uses the original brackets.

Probably the best bang for the buck - is to get the Kubota QA for the loader. Like the other guy's said - you will throw nothing away. You just remove the pins from the bucket - and pin the QA on - and then you've got to put a pin thru the upper mount on the bucket and you're good to go.

I got the QA on my B3200 when I bought it. Very shortly thereafter I found a pair of forks in my basement that I had forgotten that I had - so I bought the Kubota fork frame for the LA504 loader.

Best tractor addition I have gotten so far - I can swap between the bucket and the forklift frame in very short order. The Kubota frame takes standard forks. If you're looking for a great deal on forks - check out Artillian dot com. They make a forklift frame for John Deere tractors - but they have great deals on forks that will fit right on the Kubota frame.

If you decide later that you want to add other implements to the loader - there are a number of places that can adapte grapples and other bucket designs to fit onto the LA504 loader (which means they will also work with the Kubota quick attach).

The skid steer style QA is more universal - but the adapters that are out there for the LA504 - are heavier than the Kubota QA. And the LA504 is on the small side for using most skid steer sized implements efficiently any way.

I went to my local dealer over lunch and all the sales guys were out except one and he did not know about the QA. He looked up the prices for me. I would like to see the goods one way or the other. Does anybody have any pics? I did find a youtube video of a guy that made his own, I bet it is very similar to Kubota.

I am in the same boat as you. Didn't think I swap out implements, and now I have several that I would use a lot more if it wasn't such a pain to switch. I am getting the Univesal Quick Attach Adapter from WR Long, and will get 3 plates to have mounted on the implements. I have been saving for this for awhile now, and will be placing the order next week....can't wait as I could have used both my grapple and 4N1 bucket this past weekend on a job.

There's some pics on the Canadian Kubota site:

Products: LA504 Kubota Canada Ltd.

If you want some more pics - I could probably take a few of mine.

There is a guy here on TBN who build one himself that is very similar to the Kubota unit.

I think you would be happier with a skid steer qa because you can find anything for them everywhere. With the kubota qa you are more limited. If you every go to a larger tractor the ss qa is what would be on it.
