You may have seen my other post wanting a rear halfshaft or two and one has snapped, so the other may be on its way out.

I suspect I'll work it out one I start getting my fingers dirty, but a heads up will be helpful please. Most halfshafts I've worked on, are held in place with a collar behind the main bearing which is pressed on to the halfshaft, however this looks a bit different. In the image below, I can see a circlip holding the bearing in place, is that all that hold the shaft in place, assuming the bearing was a friction fit? Or do I need to remove the housing secured with the green arrows?

Secondly, are the brake shoes behind the housing with the red arrows? I'm assuming they're dry shoes, rather than wet?
