Older version - not sure if Cat 1 or 2 - it is 66" so I would guess cat 1. I've never seen one with this method of lowering/raising the rippers.

Questions:
1) Would it be okay behind a Kioti CK27HST. I think 72" is too big, but have been thinking 60-66" should be good. Would like others opinions.
2) Am I going to have any trouble finding pins? One is missing, would replace both if such are readily available.
3) Any idea on value? Asking is $500 - I'm thinking $350-400 would be more reasonable due to age/condition.

I did ask for more info, like cat 1 or 2, weight, ripper condition - no response to those questions yet.

Thanks all!

David

I'm new at this, but going to take the test and see if I'm right so don't use my answer as fact.

That looks to be a long bigger/heavier than a Cat 1...so based on that I would say at Minimum a 2 if not bigger. (I think 3)

I was also told 5hp per foot and for something like this, even more hp is needed.

OK, now let the experts chime in and see how close I am.

edit:

I found this chart which would help identify the real category

I agree that it looks bigger than a cat 1. If you do decide to get it. Tractor Supply has replacement pins. Check your owners manual. Mine has recommended sizes for various equipment. 66" may be too big for the CK27

I would guess a Cat 1 since its only 66" wide and that's a manual control for the rippers. quite common.

That bottom pin looks MUCH bigger that 7/8" dia.

Some pins look that way because they are larger at one end to keep them from passing right on through. My 48" JD tiller (made by Sicma in Italy) is set up that way. the Pins only go in one way because there's a large end and corresponding hole that it fits in. That is a are clevis pin setup on that BB vs std Cat one pins bolted on. the clevis setup makes mounting a heavy implement easier, and are stronger when putting high torque loads on the implement.

That looks to be an older Gannon box blade in those pics. They offered roll over/retractible scarifiers as an option on certain models.

Comparing what is probably a 30"-32" truck tire lying next to it, I'd say 66" sounds about right.

What I'm saying is I don't Think a 66" implement would be a cat 2.

All I see is a BB that by design could possibly be converted to hydraulic scarifiers without too much difficulty...you don't see too many of them where the frame design doesn't make it unpractical...
