Adjusting my valves?

/ Adjusting my valves? #21
.. grabbing the coupler by hand or pipe wrench and rotating it.
Disconnecting the engine from the pump would probably turn a 10 minute job in to a 2 hour job.

My engine has pumps on only one side, with the fan grill on the back. It would be nice if there was some adaptor that came through teh fan grill to allow access to turn the crankshaft. Not unreasonable; I think Subaru sells kits to allow attachment to both ends of the crankshaft.

Sorry, i meant with everything still connected. Grabbing it where it connect to the pump, but maybe i should actually get off my derriere and go up to the shop and check mine out to see if that's even possible.:)

The pump is mounted to the engine through a cylindrical adaptor, with not access to the love-joy coupling.
