When i push my loader lever forward to float it of course locks as it should and easily. When i go to take it off float i have to yank it VERY hard and feel i may break something. Anyone know how to adjust the detent? Before anyone questions what i am saying, i grew up on a dairy farm and have run heavy equipment most of my adult life so i know what i am experiencing is not right. The last pit loader i ran was a 95,000# Kawasaki 110ZII and an 8 yard bucket that my little LS would fit in LOL! From float you could pull it off with 2 fingers. Thanks for the help!!!!

some sort of "spring" generally is used for detent. and then some sort of ball or short rod with ball like end. normally all this is held in with a screw of some sort.

you might also have issues between linkages between joystick and valves before you even get to detent and something binding up.

Been so busy i haven't had a moment to wash it and look it over. Loader control feels normal as far as hand pressure to use. Just VERY hard pulling out of float. I'll have to have my daughter operate it while i see what is moving in float and adjust the detent ball. Just hoped someone had experienced this. Should be a spring and cup with a ball bearing on the tip of the spring from my past experience......

thinking about it, it might be the valve itself in how it is made. and who ever designed the spool. might of goofed on "pressure" and "surface area" calc's when coming out of float. and you might be fighting physical hyd oil pressure coming out of float. other words you may never be able to fix issue, and mock it up to design flaw, or within tolerance of needing a little more force to move lever.

i would put emphasis of maybe modify spool valve, BUT the tolerances are so high. that a little sanding / grinding could quickly destroy the spool / valve for good and needing to buy a full replacement.

My R4041 has been that way from the start. I may look into the joystick control soon.

Got to looking around this afternoon and it looks as if the valve has to come apart to take any pressure off the spring.......

My float release is also a very forceful action. Not on the bucket side just the joystick.
