ADD-A-Grapple ??????

Besides brush piles, logs, and rocks, what else do you use the grapple for? Do you guys think a grapple is a good value?

Moving dead cows to their final resting space. Yes, very good value if you do not spend too much.

It was included in the purchase of my Branson 3520 Shuttle shift. I had been haggling with the owner all year and we closed the deal in November 2019. Its a good strong tractor but I should have ordered the Hydro. Of course money was a problem so decided on the shuttle. A lot of clutching, but the work is finally getting done. My records show the remote function to be between 500 to 800. And the grapple to be 800 to 1000. If purchased latter on individually. My total was 23100 and they gave me 2500 for my MF 135 for the down payment. Also included a metal sun canopy.

I'd love to hear everyone's (particularly those who have a grapple) opinion about bang for the buck.

I would have to buy the third function and the grapple and I've gotten very good at picking up brush piles and logs with my pallet forks. Besides brush piles, logs, and rocks, what else do you use the grapple for? Do you guys think a grapple is a good value?

For very cost effective grapple choices check out Mid-State attachments, Denton NC.
They sell to retailers, but they are manufacturers, and calling them direct will get you a great price, with good shipping rates.
They have very good reviews also.

I致e owned a Branson 3510I, and am going back to Branson 4720H in a couple weeks from a TYM T354HST. The TYM is going to my kids. I致e owned two grapples. The first one was by Markham Welding, and was perfectly fine. I ran it off of my remotes using long hoses from front to back (no 3rd function). After tallying up what a couple long lines were, I could have had the 3rd function for a few hundred dollars more.

My new tractor will have 3rd function standard. My second grapple is a Faver SCX526, and I expect to buy another for the new tractor, as there is simply nothing handier to have as an attachment IMHO. My factory bucket stays in the shed. My snow bucket is on all Winter. The grapple is attached the rest of the time.

Uses:
Log and brush cleanup in the woods or yard.
As a rake back-dragging dirt.
Rock / boulder removal.
Chain attachment for lifting and or rearranging implements that cannot be ?オrappled.
Stump removal
Even foundation removal (old outbuildings)

Every time I take it off, I find myself wishing it was still on..

Thanks for the reply. I'm more convinced than I was before. Happy Easter everyone.

Same here. Grapple on the Branson and forks on the Kioti. Buckets just sitting in the yard.

I dreamed about getting an EA grapple for awhile. But went with an Armstrong Ag grapple instead due to lower cost. That seems to be my standard operating procedure now days. I am not gentle with tools. They are made to work and that is what I do with them. I have had no problem with this grapple, tearing up thick brush, tree stumps, dead trees and moving around 25" dia x 8' long logs. I am happy with my purchase. So much so that when I decided to upgrade my tractor from a shuttle shift to a hydro, that I had the grapple transferred to the new one.

I have a Branson 2800h with the 00 loader with the single add-a-grapple that I got through Tractor Mike (Single Add-A-Grapple for Sale - Ask Tractor Mike-Ozark, MO). I use it all the time. I wanted a full grapple but I can't get a quick attach for the 00 loader.

I was afraid that the bucket would limit me gut it only does with long spindly branches. A true grapple would get more of them. But with clean up it actually gets more in. I drive up to the pile of crap and then close the jaws on it. When it comes to logs I am more limited by the weight of my tractor. My tractor will lift more than its butt can keep on the ground without a lot of weight on the back. I like my 48" tractor that allows be to get in and move around the garden so I have to accept its limitations.

I couldn't find a 3rd function kit for my tractor so I got a generic kit and made brackets. For the price it is great. I keep it on during most of the year to collect brush and trees. I store it on one of the Harbor Freight car dollies (1000 Lb. Capacity Vehicle Dollies 2 Pc). I roll the bucket over and set it on the dolly, pull the bar out, disconnect the hyd lines and roll it away. I can get it off in five minutes and put it on in 10 or so.

I hope this helps others.

John.
