Thanks for all of the great suggestions! You all are so creative.
Sorry for the lack of responses; we've been busy with fires. At the moment, the fire came within a mile or so, having burned close to six hundred square miles in a couple of days. We had to evacuate for a week, and were happy to do so. A mile from a wildfire is just way too close for comfort. A number of friends have had their ranches burn to the ground, several of whom were well prepared for wildfires, but these fires got going very quickly, moved rapidly and were exceptionally hot.

Just for fun, and maybe some ideas for folks....
When I worked at the newspaper we had several paper roll clamp attachments for our forklifts. They squeeze the rolls and then lift them, then can rotate them 360 degrees, actually infinite. Think of picking up a can of beans by pinching it with your thumb and index finger, then turning it over. That kind of motion. It's hydraulic cylinders that provide the clamping, and a hydraulic motor that does the rotating. There was an old one they said I could have, but I couldn't lift it. :laughing: It was about 800#.
However, I think one could remove the fingers and cylinders and shave off 500# to make just a rotator. Might be handy.

I've also thought about just getting some 4" OD tubing with 3/8" wall and another piece of 4" ID tubing with 3/8" wall and making a rotator that I could pin in several orientations, like those old manual-angle snow plows, only horizontal instead of vertical. It could be handy for something? :laughing:

I use a york rake for road leveling. It has tires in the front and i can do some crowning with it although it us not like a md mount blade.

The blade will make a crown as well, did it many times..... jim
