accidently put stabil for gas in the diesel...

Gents, to make a long story short, I accidently put stabil for gas in 5 gallons of diesel fuel for my BX23 Kubota. Should I dump it ( in an enviromentally proper way, of course) or can I use it? Thanks, Rusty

I thought it was labelled for both. You might look on their website.

But I wouldn't worry about it in any case. I think it simply kills bacteria.

Older containers of regular Sta-bil were recommended for diesel as well as gas.

Now there is a special diesel version. I doubt it will hurt anything.

Ordinary Sta-bil is an antioxidant which prevents gas from gumming. I think the diesel type kills bacteria.

Sea Foam uses the same thing for gas, diesel and ethanol I know. You should be fine.

I used Sta-Bil for gas in my diesel without problems. The old bottles said it was good for both fuel types.

Thanks for the reassurance. I put in the standard 4 oz stabil to 5 gal of fuel.
I'll go ahead and use it, maybe but it 50/50 with clean diesel. Thanks,again, Rusty

4 oz of it to 640 oz of fuel is noting. Thats like mixing 160 to 1.

ditto that.. it's such a dilution it shouldn't matter... even with straight alcohol..
