Wow...UP to now I have seen posts about wheelies, hands stands, one wheel up...and so on...

But Stumpman, I think yours may be the first report of a flying tractor...all four wheels off the ground at the same time...on a tractor complete with loader and rear ballast...

I turned my tractor (w ROPs) two summers ago. I was able to jump off befor the tractor tipped into the pond. Outside of the obvious safty benefit, another benefit for me at least, was that the ROP prevented the tractor from rolling fully into the pond!

A runaway tractor and no way to get it stopped. We will all be having nightmares about that story. You should indeed get a set of wings like the pilots wear for that one Stumpman.

I have a pond on my property and whenever I use the tractor in close proximity to it the hair on the back of my neck stands up. I would hate to think what could happen if a wheel hit a soft spot.

The worst part of that whole thing was that I had to look at the wheel tracks through the long grass for the better part of two summers. Every time I would see them or have to explain them to friends, it would send shivers down my spine just thinking what could have happened.
