A plumbing question

/ A plumbing question #41
Here's the funny thing, it's only this toilet that makes noise. No other drains do it. I did run a hose down the vent on the roof.

I guess I have two options at this point 1-auger out the waste line from toilet to main line (about 8 - 10 feet) or 2 - cut that vent line and snake it out. Why don't they make it law to create of rough plumbing drawing.

Regarding the vent, I'll have to crawl into attic to see if I can find out where that vent line goes that shoots vertical right behind toilet. I really hate to cut the drywall at this point but will if I have to.

Sung to the tune of "Back in The Saddle Again."

I'm back in the sewer again.
Out where a turd is your friend.
Where the water flows so free,
In pee up to your knees.
I'm back in the sewer again.

I'm back in the sewer again.
Clearin' a clog at a bend.
Hand me cleaner, glue, and a Tee.
Thank God for PVC!
I'm back in the sewer again.

Add verses as desired. . .:D

I found a brass sign in a yacht supply store a few years ago and bought it, but my wife won't let me put it up in our bathroom. It says, "Don't put anything in the head unless you've eaten it first." I think that's a great rule, but she thinks it's crude.

If the "terlet" gurgles only when you flush, you have too long a run from it to the main stack, and need more vent. You need to figure out what is moving, draining, or flowing when it gurgles. that is where your problem lies...Don't cut anything until you get a better picture of what is going on...
