A little something I put together

After "deconstructing" the old barn on our property, I've been putting together a few odds and ends. Here is a cabinet I put together. I've made several coat racks, a large mirror, and key hooks and other stuff.


































The door is an old window that was found in the barn loft.

The barn was hemlock, milled from the property back in the 1920's. The trim was from some old cherry boards that were culled from a mill that my Dad worked at when he was in college back in the 1950's and he stuck up in the rafters in the loft. That old cherry is some tough hardwood.

That's pretty cool, the only thing I would do different is paint the hinges a flat dark brown to blend with the wood better.

Reminds me of the old time pie safes. A little ornate tin on the doors, pies inside and I would be drooling. Very nice work.
