A Drinking Problem

God grant me the sernity to accept the things I cannot change, courage to change the things I can and the wisdom to know the difference....

Been a non-drinking alcoholic for 30 years and don't plan on going backwards.

Amen to that, over 18 months for me. I drank enough in the couple years leading up to the last one to last a long, long time.

It's been 25 for me. I try not to forget what it was like, what happened, and what it is like now.

That is an interesting quote. We sometimes forget that in past times, many people never drank water due to the fact most water was filthy. Many people drank "grog" so that the alcohol content would kill the bacteria in the water.

So how did all the abstainers survive anyway? Or were they closet drinkers?
